LONG TERM CASUALS

Current Status:

The consolidation of Long Term Casual patrons to the Stockton Tourist Park southern precinct was completed in 2010. During this time of relocation the embargo on new occupancy agreements was lifted to give Long Term Casual (LTC) patrons an opportunity to sell their vans with the buyer able to enter into new six monthly agreements. In order to continue the transformation of sites in accordance with the business plan a pause on new occupancy agreements has now been reinstated. From April 4 2011 there will be no new occupancy agreements issued, should a Long Term Casual patron surrender their occupancy agreement the van must be removed from the site. At this stage sites which are vacated will not be available for other LTC patrons to occupy. The aim of this strategy is to encourage natural attrition of semi permanent sites to create an effective mix of tourist and long term sites. An impending review of the business plan will determine an appropriate mix of sites for the future development of Stockton Beach Tourist Park.
